The owners on Chesterfield Hill wanted the large unvented cylinder out of the bedroom cupboard so they could use the space as a wardrobe. Jamie planned the move down to the basement, where there was room beside the gas meter. A new Vaillant ecoTEC plus system boiler went in alongside the relocated cylinder, with new 22mm flow and return pipes run up through the old service void. The discharge pipe was taken outside through a tundish where the owners can see it. Upstairs, the cupboard was cleared and the pipework capped below the floor. The boards were put back. A secondary return loop was added so the top bathroom gets hot water without a long wait.
