The Potterton Netaheat on Elms Road was well past its best. The pilot light went out every few days and parts were no longer made. Kevin took it out along with the gravity hot water cylinder and the loft tanks, and fitted a Baxi 800 combi on the same wall. The old open flue was capped off and a new room sealed flue was taken out through the side wall. Years of gravity hot water had left some odd pipe routes, so he rerouted the primaries and added a filling loop and filter. The airing cupboard is free for storage now, and hot water comes straight off the mains.
