Jamie was called to Gordon Road, where a Worcester Greenstar 30i had gone to an EA 227 fault and wouldn't stay lit. Gas pressure at the inlet was fine, so he moved on to the ignition. The spark at the electrode was weak and jumping to the casing instead of across the gap. The ignition lead had chafed against the edge of the heat exchanger cover and the insulation had worn through. He replaced the lead, clipped the new one away from the sharp edge and checked the electrode gap while he had it out. The boiler fired and held on the first attempt.
